Our head sommelier Ian has recently been named the best sommelier in Australia. With so many options to choose from on the perfect accompaniment to your spring dish, these are Ian’s choices for bright, bold flavours this season.

Lot X – a collaboration with Ian and Jarred Dixion of Jilly Wine Co. “The grape is 100% tempranillo with fruit sourced from the nearby New England region. Not to toot my own horn by choosing a wine I helped make but it is so light and drinkable with pretty red fruits” says Ian.

2016 Domain L’anglore “Tavel” – “I’ve been a fan of Eric Pfifferling for some years now. His Tavel is a complex and graceful wine, it is as easy to guzzle as it is to contemplate. It’s perfect for spring” says Ian.
